Jewish Federation is looking for its next Camp Gan Shalom Director
Location: Monrovia, CA 91016
The Jewish Federation of the Greater San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys’ mission is to build community by strengthening and enhancing Jewish life. We are a resource for everything Jewish in the area. We are a safe place for people to find their way into and connect with both their Judaism and the Jewish community. The programs and services we provide celebrate Jewish community and create opportunities for people to engage with the beauty and richness of Jewish culture. And we are the Jewish voice for our community, the eyes and ears that educate and promote Judaism and Jewish life locally.
One of our many programs is Camp Gan Shalom, a Jewish summer day camp for entering Kindergarten – 10th graders that infuses Judaism into traditional summer camp experiences. Our unique program, broken into three distinctly different programs – Kehilla (entering K – 5th grade), Manheegim (6th – 8th grade), and our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program (9th & 10th grade), is designed to engage the campers in a fully interactive camp experience that helps create lasting memories by combining the fun of traditional camp activities while being immersed in Jewish themes and culture.
